Caught in Covid

Well, unfortunately, after months of vaccinated security, Covid finally caught up with our family. Tim was away on a work trip and he probably brought the nasty home with him. It was a surprise, I will say!

We had been having a busy week preparing for the Marriage Enrichment evening that we have been working on, and Tim and I attended a dinner meeting at the home of our friends Ed and Kate, with most of the rest of the team. The next day I was busy running around and Tim worked as usual. Yeah that was the day that I had to go down for Spiritual Direction. That evening Tim started to feel like he was catching a cold, and then the next day he was feeling really rotten. He thought that he had some kind of virus, but Nina said that he should get tested to be sure that it wasn't Covid. It was Covid.

Of course, my first thought was, "thank goodness for vaccines"! Tim is healthy, but he has a few risk factors and even people with no risk factors are getting very sick. The vaccine has mitigated the worst of the symptoms. He has a been really tired, congested, and feels rotten, but since the weekend, it is definitely better each day. Praise God! I am just so glad that things are not going the way that they might be.

He has to quarantine for probably another week. I have to quarantine for a little longer than that, although I have been going for walks and getting outside in the beautiful weather as much a possible! It is just such a beautiful Fall!

Sunday was a good day for my sports! Max Verstappen won the F1 race in Mexico, and the Ravens squeaked out another win, just barely. If it weren't for Justin Tucker and Lamar Jackson, this season would be a complete loser. I hope they figure it out, because my nerves just can't take too much of this.

In other news, Cora got her winterwear, and she is not impressed. I put it on her and she immediately became immobile, which may come in handy for one thing or another, jk.

This morning the neighbors surprised us with a tree-removal company, and the removal of all the trees between our yards! It's really different now! It will take some getting used to.

Cora enjoyed watching the action in the front yard.
