Thankful

Yes, there are so many things that I am so thankful for! It's hard to count them all when I get going.

We had Madi here for the last week of Paul's winter break and it was just so nice! They spent time with friends, we watched some movies, Brendan came over and we had a really nice visit.

Nina came by a couple of days ago on the way to visit the barn with Lilly. I might have considered going with them but it was just too cold! It was in the 30s that day. Nope.

Today is gorgeous! It was cloudy this morning but the sun has come out and Cora and I got a very nice walk in. We went our usual route, but she actually ran most of the way.

She would make a great agility dog if I had the time and money for such things. But I don't.

I am going with a friend to visit a local pregnancy outreach center today. We are going to see what they need and how St Patrick's can be of help. We have a lot of people in the parish who are interested in helping out, but we have to create a structure that will work for that. I am hoping that someone will step up to lead this endeavor.

Dad is heading to Texas in February and I might just beat him there. I want to stay for a longer time and look around at the different areas that are close enough for a commute to the base, where Tim would work. There are a few places that we have identified, but we have only been able to do online research. I want to get on the ground and see what these places really look like.

For now though, I am grateful for the roof over our heads and the work that Tim is able to do to pay for it. I am grateful for my work and the people that are a part of that. I am so grateful for our friends and all the people here who are like family. It is a lovely town.

I am grateful for the break in the cold. I love to feel a bit of Spring in the air even though it really will be months before it actually really happens. It will be weird to have this little yard and no work to do in it. I am looking forward to having a house with a bigger yard and some space where we can create, feed the birds, have fires, and gather with friends. This place is not going to be optimal for that, but that's ok! It's different, but it's still good!

So much to be thankful for and such a good God to give thanks to!
