Well, here we are, the last night in Western Washington state.
The last 24 hours have been quite a whirlwind.
Last night I went to visit my uncle Milo and aunt Terri one last time before we started packing, and as I was leaving, I got a call from John. He said he wasn't feeling well.
Paul hadn't been doing too great since the night before, when he said his ear hurt, but I figured it was just a cold and he had some fluid in his ears.
When I got to the house, I took John's temp and he had a low-grade fever.
Since Mom can't risk any illness right now, I thought I would take the two boys to town to get Brendan, and then we would all go out to visit with Amanda.
After I got Brendan, Chris called and said to bring everyone up to their house and Kasie would sort out who was sick and what they might need.
They sent me off to have coffee, and I had a great visit with Amanda. She is turning into quite a young lady!
When I got back, Kasie said that it appeared that Paul had a double ear infection, and John's fever had risen to over 100 degrees.
They offered to keep John overnight, to minimize the chance of mom being exposed, and then I took Paul and Brendan back to the farm, with strict instructions not to get too close to Mom.
I decided that I would pack everything I had left to pack, make a hotel reservation for a night in Seattle, and get Paul to the doctor on the way out of town.
I also called a shuttle service so that Dad only had to drive us to Silverdale, and not all the way to the airport in Seattle. That was a very good thing because the traffic and the weather over here were really NASTY tonight.
I'm really glad Mom and Dad are able to have a restful day before their own trip to Seattle tomorrow, for mom's big Liver treatment.
We got Paul an antibiotic and he is feeling better. John seems to have rallied and I am praying that his ears don't get involved as well.
We got over to the airport on the shuttle, and then called the hotel shuttle to deliver us, lock stock, boys and baggage, to our hotel.
We went over to the IHOP next door and had a rather run-of-the-mill dinner, but I didn't care because it was right there and it wasn't McDonald's.
Now we are all winding down. The boys are playing their games, after unsuccessfully attempting to find something on TV. I am going to post this and then get ready for bed and read for awhile.
I miss Tim SO much, and I just can't wait to get home tomorrow night and cuddle up in our warm house, together.
It has been a wonderful time with Mom, Dad and the rest of the family.
Mom and Dad, my Brothers and their families

Milo and Terri,

did everything they could to make sure that we had a very, very special time together.
Thanks and more thanks to all of you dear ones.
Me and my little Dell are signing off from the West Coast, and we'll be back on when we get to the other side...
