Ah....
It was a wonderful and relaxing couple of days up in the Poconos.
Freezing outside, and warm and toasty inside our resort retreat.
This was just the perfect break from all of what life has been dishing out for the past little while.
The boys have been so looking forward to another trip to the Great Wolf Lodge.
When we went a few years ago, Paul was five. He couldn't do the bigger slides and he was not a real strong swimmer yet.
We went to the one in Williamsburg, and while the boys had a lot of fun, we also felt like we wanted to see the Jamestown and Yorktown sights, so they couldn't just relax and enjoy the facility.
This time was different.
The GWL is just amazing. There are so many things to do. The engineering is amazing all by itself. Just the fact that they do what they do there.
We would not splurge on that kind of luxury ordinarily, but one of the moms in our Homeschool Group got an amazing deal because we booked a number of rooms. We are hoping to try to set it up as an ongoing activity.
Here are a few of the things to do at the waterpark....
Still, tonight when we all tumbled into our own front door, unpacked and settled back in to home, it just felt so good.
I love to have adventures with our family. It's what makes life interesting.
But it's always so good to get home....
