Brendan is at an age where the idea of romance makes him nauseous, but he wanted someone to call his Valentine, so he decided that he would ask Mary.
He brought me this little card that he had made yesterday. I think it is probably the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I'll bet Mary thinks so too.
