A Paulism

Today Paul and I took a long ride to Frostburg, just the two of us.
Tim is taking tomorrow off and he is keeping John and Brendan and they are going to find something fun to do.
I am going to be here for the weekend and Laura and I are going to do some big batch cooking and organize a few things. Actually her house looks pretty well under control, but we'll find something to do.
On the way up, Paul and I had some great conversation. If there is one thing that kid loves, it's talking.
For some reason, the subject of horses came up, and he was reminiscing about "ButterBob", the pony that we leased for awhile.
We had to quit, for various reasons, and I didn't realize how much he missed riding until he said, and I quote, "I think that's at the top of my list of personal tragedies."
It's nice to be able to have something like that at the top of the list...
Ah...youth...
