Little Miss Cooke is on her way, but she is taking her time and unless they have a miraculous event this afternoon, they are going to have to go in and get her.
Laura had an appointment yesterday and the midwife did her best to get things started.
I don't have all the details, but from what I understand, Laura went into a real good labor last night, had lots of good, regular contractions, and then things slowed down and stopped at 5 cm.
The baby had been moving into the right position, but it appears she has moved back up and out of position and the labor is totally arrested.
The Midwife is good and would like to see this go naturally, but she is of the opinion that as Laura is overdue, and labor is stalled, and they can't use anything to induce more contractions, that this is probably going to have to go the way that Lucy's did.
And that is fine with Laura, now that she has tried. Having come this far and given it her best shot, it's probably just the way she is built, and this is the way that the babies will come.
This little one is ready to be on the outside, and very healthy! The non-stress test yesterday was very good.
So prayers are in order for everything to go as they are now planned, and by this evening, little Miss Cooke will be getting kisses from her mom and dad.
