The birds are spreading the word...."There's FOOD at that house!"
So we are just becoming more and more popular. Granted I think there are more Squirrels than birds, but we are seeing quite a few different feathered friends...

They are ground feeders and clean up all the seed that the other birds drop.
The Cardinals are everywhere . We see them in the front and back. It's so neat to watch the males as the keep an eye out while the females have a meal.

There are also the Tufted Titmice. We are seeing quite a few of them on the umbrella feeder in the back.

And Now....From sunny somewhere else....
We proudly introduce the newest star of our show....

We were so excited that he decided to visit us this week!
He found something very tasty in the Mamosa tree. He is either helping to control a serious bug problem, or he is going to help it fall down.
Anyway he was beautiful and I am very grateful to all the wonderful sites on the web that enable me to get these great pictures.
I'll post more as we go along. Everytime I see an interesting bird, I mark it in the bird book. I am going to pass that job on to John very soon. Then I can post what we see in the evening.
