I always love being able to sing that again!
What a Great and Blest day Easter is.
We had a very nice Easter around here.
We went to the Vigil Mass last night. The boys were a bit on the wiggly side. Two and a half hours is a LONG time to sit. They did take notice of the fire that was lit inside, yes inside the church, to light the Easter Candle. They love the way the church is darkened and then as we all light our candles it gets lighter and lighter. John said he really understood the meaning behind each candle this year. He didn't want to blow it out!
There are four new Catholics in our parish and Fr Jay, who has a beautiful singing voice, sang a lot of the Mass.
We got home around 10:00 and it was too late to make the Resurrection Cookies that I had planned. We may just do them another night so that they can see what they are like.
We got up this morning and put on the last bit of "Jesus of Nazareth" and the boys really enjoyed it this year.
Then they looked for and found their baskets.
They each got a movie, and of course, lots of Chocolate.
We also dyed Easter eggs and they made the little cars out of them. We had been looking forward to that.

Tim also made a LOT of progress on the new room!
So exciting! The walls are finished and primered now. Next weekend we can put on real paint!

So, we pray that The Easter Season is filled with many blessings for many people this year.
